I could have sworn this was California...

I guess everyone needed to double check where this happened today. So why is a 5.4 triggering foreboding, day long speculation of foreshock? What happened to all the earthquake/emergency drills we grew up doing? Why were people madly, greedily fleeing in from buildings?

Instead of wasting breaths on bashing the Governator, can we talk about something else for a change? A real disaster at hand? Like the ever diminishing size of my LA Times?!?!
