Bush BS aside...
The Department of Conservation just sent me one of these babies today, and my inspiration kind of kicked back into gear. This is sort of like my My Name is Earl list for next year:
- Sustainability meditation event
- The Eleventh Hour outdoor movie event
- Hire 5 amazing students to help the recycling program evolve (not just sort through bins)
- Encourage students to order their own recycling starter kits, start indoor compost piles, try out solar-power-bag showers, go vegetarian/vegan for a week, challenge other schools to recycle at sporting events, and have a kick-ass RecycleMania for a change.
- Get to know a lot more faculty/administration/students/groups
- Keep the recycling program SUSTAINABLE
- Try out new solar powered stuff
- Advocate for on-campus energy/water usage monitoring & devices to prevent sprinklers from going off when it's raining
- Learn how to print on both sides of paper, and require everyone on campus to do it!
- Apply for a few scholarships so I won't have to pay ANYTHING for my senior year!
(Just listen to "Taking Liberties" by Ray Barbee whenever the news gets you down...)
